OAT GINGER & ORANGE LOAF

Ingredients

125 ml Bokomo Traditional Oats

125 ml butter

180 ml brown sugar

1large egg

125 ml milk

60ml syrup

250 ml flour

Pinch of salt

2,5 ml bicarbonate of soda

5 ml ginger

2,5 ml cinnamon

30 ml mixed citrus speel

Method

1. Add the butter, sugar, milk and syrup to a small saucepan and heat gently until sugar dissolves.

2. Blend 125ml oats to a fine powder.

3. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients together and mix well.

4. Pour the batter into a greased or lined bread tray.

5. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 160° for 40min.

6. Remove from oven and allow to cool in tin before serving
